Description
There is a beach on the southern Oregon Coast below a bluff. We can climb down to this pebble beach and then hike south where there is a collection of huge redwood stumps washed up on shore. They are so large that we wonder at the intensity of the storm that brought them ashore. They have been there a long time and are beautifully polished by the waves. Many have faces that look back at you, telling secrets of long ago. The recent rain had darkened this redwood log and brought out these haunting eyes.
