There is a beach on the southern Oregon Coast below a bluff. We can climb down to this pebble beach and then hike south where there is a collection of huge redwood stumps washed up on shore. They are so large that we wonder at the intensity of the storm that brought them ashore. They have been there a long time and are beautifully polished by the waves. What stories could they tell you of long ago.
FOLLOWING THE DREAM - Charlotte and I met in late 1979 when we both worked at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. We both dreamed of a simpler life, so in 1981, we literally "dropped out" and lived off the grid for the next six years.
