About Dreamweaver Gallery
Charlotte and I met in late 1979 when we both worked at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. We both dreamed of a simpler life, so in 1981, we literally "dropped out" and lived off the grid for the next six years. We mined for gold, cut and sold firewood, did yard work, painted houses... whatever it took to put food on the table. We relished the simple lifestyle and the total serenity in the wilderness. That was just the beginning of a life of adventure. In 1988 we moved to "town" and began a new adventure. Charlotte pursued a lifelong dream of creating art and I pursued a personal dream of growing produce and selling at Farmer's Markets. We were organic farmers and owned an antique/collectible business in Grass Valley, California until 1996 when our lease ran out on our farm land. We reluctantly moved on. I gave up my gardening and Charlotte packed away her art studio. We decided to "hit the road" in 1997 and see where it took us. We yearned to see more of the country. After creating a flyer and passing it out at the Farmer's Market we had our first "job", ranch sitting for 2 weeks. We became professional house & ranch sitters for the next 15 years. It allowed us to see and experience many parts of this beautiful country. We fell in love with the Pacific Northwest, so in 2011 we decided to finally settle down and moved to our present home. We live on the beautiful and breathtaking Oregon Coast where we can hear the sound of the waves and on stormy days, the whistle and bell buoys. I have taken up a camera to attempt to capture it's beauty while Charlotte has returned to her artwork. Our goal is to portray our world in a way that makes you stop for a moment. We hike the beaches in search of driftwood, rocks and treasures from the sea. We roam the forest in appreciation of its peace and beauty. We fish for salmon, steelhead, rock fish and Dungeness crabs. We grow food in our garden. We look forward to sharing our journey. "I am on a journey to awaken, Today my sacred journey starts, Take my hand and you can travel with me, On this sacred journey of the heart."
