We have taken the back road to Crested Butte on several occasions. It takes you through the Ruby Mountains and up over Kebler Pass. There are many beautiful aspen groves on the way. It was a warm summer day and we stopped for a walk through the forest.
About Larry Bacon
FOLLOWING THE DREAM - Charlotte and I met in late 1979 when we both worked at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. We both dreamed of a simpler life, so in 1981, we literally "dropped out" and lived off the grid for the next six years. We mined for gold, cut and sold firewood, did yard work, painted houses... whatever it took to put food on the table. We relished the simple lifestyle and the total serenity of the wilderness. That was just the beginning of a life of adventure and "taking the road less traveled". In 1988 we moved to "town" and began a new adventure.
