It was a beautiful warm fall day and we decided to take a detour and drive the June Lake Loop. Mother Nature had been at work with her paintbrush. It was a natural painting, as big as life.
FOLLOWING THE DREAM - Charlotte and I met in late 1979 when we both worked at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. We both dreamed of a simpler life, so in 1981, we literally "dropped out" and lived off the grid for the next six years. We mined for gold, cut and sold firewood, did yard work, painted houses... whatever it took to put food on the table. We relished the simple lifestyle and the total serenity of the wilderness.
