My art style comes from my soul. Although I do title my art I prefer simply to invoke whatever emotion comes from anyone who enjoys it.

I began painting in 1998 after suffering an aneurysm and a subsequent stroke. After 3 surgeries and intense rehabilitation I struggled to regain my strength and the life I had before. The stroke left me virtually without speech and an intense weakness on the right side of my body. While attending speech therapy at Texas Women's University, I began taking art classes and discovered it was an interesting although very different way of communicating my feelings.
