Description
Big Wheeling Creek in Wheeling, West Virginia is one of the major tributaries to the Ohio River. There are many places in Wheeling where you can walk close to the water's edge. Leaves seem to lead spectacular lives that are full of promise in the spring, providing cool shade in the summer, turning fabulous colors in autumn, and then falling to their deaths. This leaf has fallen into a pastel painting at the end of its glorious life.
